Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical Buddha who founded Buddhism and is commonly portrayed seated on a lotus base, with his right hand touching the earth in the bhumisparsha mudra, symbolizing his moment of awakening under the Bodhi tree. Amitabha Buddha, also known as the Buddha of Infinite Light, symbolizes boundless compassion and wisdom, serves as the central figure in Pure Land Buddhism, and represents the aspiration for rebirth in the Pure Land, a realm of peace and enlightenment. Medicine Buddha, also known as Bhaisajyaguru, is the Buddha of Healing, embodying physical and spiritual healing, compassion, and relief from suffering, and is typically depicted seated while holding a bowl of healing herbs in his left hand and the Myrobalan plant in his right, symbolizing his power to heal ailments and bring well-being.
